Erasmus +

Erasmus + is the new European Programme for education, training, youth and sport.

It has a budget of 14.700 million for the period 2014-2020 and is the successor of Lifelong Learning Programme.

This Programme reinforces the support offered to the participants in improving their foreign language competences BEFORE and DURING their stay thanks to an online linguistic support service.

Key action 1: Learning Mobility of individuals [+]

Mobility activities under this key action are addressed to students, trainees, apprentices, young people and volunteers or staff, youth workers and professionals involved in education and training activities.

Mobility projects in education, training and youth, Large-scale European Voluntary Service events, Joint Master Degrees and Master Student Loan Guarantee are included within the actions supported by this Key Action.

Mobility projects in education, training and youth promote transnational mobility activities targeting learners and staff, and include the following types of mobility projects:

In the field of Education and Training:

- Mobility projects for higher education and staff
- Mobility projects for VET learners and staff
- Mobility projects for school staff
- Mobility projects for adult education staff

In the field of Youth:

- Mobility projects for young people and youth workers: youth exchanges, European Voluntary Service and youth workers’ training and networking.

An important innovation is the importance given to language competences. Erasmus + will launch an online linguistic support service available for participants before and during their stay abroad.

Key action 2: Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices [+]

Key action 2 supports Strategic Partnerships in the field of education, training and youth; Knowledge Alliances; Sector Skills Alliances; and Capacity Building in the field of youth. This line of action will have a positive effect in participating organisations as well as in people participating in the activities, as it is expected to provide innovative approaches to addressing their target groups, professional environment inside organisations, increase professionalism to work at European level, and personal and professional skills such as initiative of entrepreneurship, competence in foreign languages, or motivation.

Key action 3 : Support for policy reforms [+]

This line of action intends to reach the objectives of the Europe 2020 Strategy, of the Strategic framework for European cooperation in education and training (ET 2020) and of the European Youth Strategy. It means that a structured dialogue between young people and decision makers in the field of youth will be promoted and supported, as well as other actions in support for policy reform in education, training and youth fields, including the promotion of knowledge in the aforementioned fields, prospective initiatives to anticipate innovative policies and cooperation with international organizations, such as the OECD.

Jean Monnet activities [+]

The aim of Jean Monnet activities is to promote excellence in teaching and research in European studies. This initiative include a wide variety of studies, such as Comparative Regionalism, Communication and Information, Economic, Historical, Intercultural Dialogue, Interdisciplinary, International Relations and Diplomacy, Legal, or Political and Administrative Studies.

Sport [+]

This line of action is implemented through collaborative partnerships and not-for-profit sport events. The actions developed will intend to get integrity in this field, promote good governance, voluntary activities, social inclusion, equal opportunities and the development of an active life.
