Horizon 2020

Horizon 2020 is the European Research and Innovation programme that intends to secure Europe’s global competitiveness through a significant investment in science, industrial leadership, and tackling societal challenges. This programme has a budget of nearly €80 billion for the period 2014 – 2020 and is expected to generate economic growth and create sustainable jobs.

The new structure of the programme simplifies bureaucracy to let participants focus on the important issues.

The goal is to ensure Europe produces world-class science, removes barriers to innovation and makes it easier for the public and private sectors to work together in delivering innovation to get a European genuine single market for knowledge, research and innovation.
